As Heather said there has been lots of discussion (here, here, here, here, and here) recently on recruiting metrics and the quality of a hire. Andrew Marritt provides a very interesting perspective on why quality of hire is even only appropriate in a limited number of circumstances. All in all a fantastic discussion. But whatContinue reading “Recruiting Metrics”

Resume tool follow up
A one of the features in CVOz that I originally did not fully appreciate was the email alerts. Steven Hair from CVOz responded to an email enquiry I had about the product and provided some additional information. The email alert will inform employers when a person matching their ideal criteria goes live within the system.Continue reading “Resume tool follow up”
Australian Resume Tool
On Friday I was browsing a site (which I can no longer remember) that had Google AdSense, from this I found an interesting new Australian site CVOZ that allows you to post your resume for prespective employers. I originally wrote a long review of the site only to have Blogger crash during the post, henceContinue reading “Australian Resume Tool”
Advice to job seekers

Online Recruitment company lists
It seems Seek had a reasonable first day in the Australian Stock Market, which is good considering the overall market went south. In the long term I wonder how they will perform and what impact being a public company will have on their day to day operations. Seek has been a leader in the AustralianContinue reading “Online Recruitment company lists”
Quick Jobster Review
Just a quick post before I leave for work. Yesterday I had lunch with Dave Lefkow from Jobster who was in Australia on evangelising-type trip, and thanks again to Dave for picking up the tab. After lunch we sat at a bar in Southbank and he gave me a quick demo of the product. UnfortunatelyContinue reading “Quick Jobster Review”
