Based on this article from The Sydney Morning Herald, why on earth would you want to live in Sydney? I kind of feel glad I now live in Melbourne. In reading the article it is hard to imagine why it was illegal until recently to install rain water tanks!

Education podcasting
Amy Bellinger from Learn and Teach Online has found a new site for podcasting within education called Education Podcast Network, or EPN for short. The site looks to be setting itself up as a directory of sorts within the education space on podcasts and blogs. The directory looks like it has been built using RSSContinue reading “Education podcasting”
Tablet PC’s in Education
For the last 3 months I have been wanting a Tablet PC, specifically the Toshiba M200, and since returning from BlogTalk Downunder this want has increased. Why? She provides aContinue reading “Presence in your organisation”
Sage growth in Australia
Another article from the Australian on the launch of the Sage brand in Australia. I see a period of consolidation is in place within the Australian HR/Payroll vendor market, which is probably overdue as the features required in a modern HRMS requires significant investment and I do not see that most second tier vendors haveContinue reading “Sage growth in Australia”
GPS tags for sex offenders
An interesting article from the Australian a couple of days ago on the possible taging of sex offenders with GPS devices. A interesting idea, it kind of reminds me of the early 1990’s movie Fortress. But seriously think of the data that would be collected and the security required to ensure that the system wasContinue reading “GPS tags for sex offenders”
