Thomas you did more digging than I did, but I have to agree anyone wanting to enter the job site market needs lots of money and a really different idea.
Hey Michael, thanks for the interest in Hire’m! I can tell you that we are not building a job search site.
We’re focusing on providing a great set of tools to help you simplify and manage the hiring process beyond just your job listing.
From collecting candidates to the point of hiring the right person for the job.
Cheers,
Michael – Hire’m
Thanks for chiming in Michael. Sounds like you are doing an enterprise tool of sorts. Any other hints at what is coming? Or a timeframe?
sounds good – how are you going with the development with ruby?
Michael – Actually, we’ll be focusing on the Small, Mediums as this segment of the market has largely been ignored so we feel we can contribute the most in this market. Timeframe will depend on the beta results, I’m hoping we can go public ealy months next year.
Thomas – Ruby has been a great development platform. Makes for very happy/productive developers. There are a few caveats, but that’s no different to any other technology.
Cheers,
Michael – Hire’m
Michael interesting I would like to speak further about your plans and progress, if you are interested drop me a line.
im guessing another linkme/jobs site. I wonder how they are going to differentiate themselves from the rest
Hopefully a geocoded jobs site.
well i just did a google search on hirem, and seems like its being built on ruby on rails! what a challenge.

Not sure about Geocoded jobs but I can see such a site integrated with a mapping product very interesting. A bit like http://www.specht.com.au/michael/2006/09/18/do-you-know-where-your-candidates-are/ but in reverse and bigger!
