For some a silly little service that people waste their time on, a bit like the internet was in 1997 .

Well the folks over at the Common Craft Show has put together a good 2.5 minutes intro video on What is Twitter.

While the video does miss some of the expanded uses of Twitter it does give a nice and simple framework to explain the basics to a beginner.
